Product Description

Britex Epoxy Coal Tar is a heavy-duty, high-build protective coating formulated with epoxy resin and coal tar pitch. It provides outstanding resistance against water, chemicals, salt, and abrasion, making it ideal for steel and concrete surfaces exposed to harsh industrial and marine environments. With excellent adhesion and long-lasting durability, it forms a tough barrier against corrosion and moisture penetration.

Applcation Description

Surface Preparation:
Clean the surface thoroughly to remove rust, oil, grease, or contaminants.
For steel: Abrasive blast cleaning (SA 2½) is recommended.
For concrete: Ensure the surface is fully cured, dry, and free of laitance.

Mixing & Application:
Mix Base (Part A) and Hardener (Part B) in the recommended ratio.
Apply with brush, roller, or spray gun.
Allow the first coat to dry (6–8 hours at 25°C).
Apply 2–3 coats for maximum protection.

Recommended Uses:
Marine structures, pipelines, tanks, steel bridges, jetties, and foundations.
Suitable for underwater and underground applications.

Coverage:
Approximately 6–8 m² per liter per coat, depending on surface condition and film thickness.
