Product Description
Stoving Thinner is a carefully balanced solvent blend developed to complement stoving varnishes, enamels, and coatings. Its unique formulation improves application properties by adjusting viscosity, ensuring excellent atomization during spray application, and promoting superior flow and leveling. The thinner enhances the final film’s smoothness and gloss, while its controlled evaporation rate minimizes surface defects such as blushing, pinholes, orange peel, or uneven coverage. Specially designed for high-temperature stoving systems, it evaporates completely during baking, leaving a flawless, durable, and clear finish without residue.
Application Description
Stoving Thinner is used to dilute stoving coatings to the desired application viscosity, providing ease of spraying and improved film formation. It ensures even distribution of the coating, excellent substrate wetting, and a defect-free glossy surface once cured. To achieve best results, the stoving paint or varnish mixed with this thinner should be allowed a short flash-off period before baking, after which the coated item must be stove-baked at the recommended temperature range of 120°C to 150°C. This ensures complete solvent evaporation, full curing, and maximum hardness of the coating. The thinner should be used in correct mixing ratios as recommended for each specific stoving product to maintain optimal performance and finish quality.
